Obama Panders to Muslims at Mosque, Ignores Christian Persecution

There are two names that no one will ever hear from the lips of President Barack Obama. The name of Jesus Christ is one, Islamic terrorism the other.

Yet, the same man who demanded that Georgetown cover all symbols of Christ—including his Blessed Name, the tiny IHS that would have appeared directly over his head on the podium where he would be giving a speech—got to speak at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, DC this morning—one day after his first visit to an American mosque while president.

Is there some kind of symbolism we’re missing about Obama going first to the Islamic Society of Baltimore Mosque yesterday, then today to the National Prayer Breakfast?

Obama’s already proven he knows about symbolism, having demanded to have all symbolism of Christ removed by Georgetown University so that it would be nowhere near him when he took to the stage to give a speech on the economy in 2012.

Did this self-styled demagogue see Saint Bernardino of Siena’s use of the letters IHS on the background of a blazing sun which displaced two popular pagan symbols and seals of political factions like the Guelphs and Ghibellines in public spaces as competition to his own blazing sun Obama logo?

In any case, it was Allah and not Christ who overshadowed this morning’s National Prayer Breakfast, but that didn’t stop Christian leaders in attendance from wanting to be seen hobnobbing with Obama and White House staff at the event.

It is indeed a strange kind of Christians who would turn out by the thousands to pay allegiance to a president so quick to bow to the Muslim God.

Were any of the Christian leaders in attendance at the prayer breakfast meeting unaware that Obama made no reference to the ongoing persecution of Christians in his address to the Islamic Society of Baltimore?

Obama has already informed the world that America is not a Christian country and has referred to devout Christians as “bible clingers”, “bigots” and “racists”.

In his address yesterday, he told the Islamic Society of Baltimore audience:

“You are not Muslim or American. You are Muslim and American.” (Vox, Feb. 3, 2016)

“Many only hear about Muslims or Islam from the news after an act of terrorism, or in distorted media portrayals on the television or on film which gives this hugely distorted impression,” Obama continued. “Our television shows should have some Muslim characters that are unrelated to national security.”

“For Obama, this wasn’t an abstract issue. The anti-Muslim rhetoric permeating American political discourse, he warned, is directly harming American citizens, and the US itself.

“A girl from Ohio, 13 years old, told me ‘I’m scared,’” Obama said. “We’re one American family. And when any part of our family starts to feel separate, or second-class, or targeted, it tears at the very fabric of our nation.”

“Ahead of his speech at the suburban Islamic Society of Baltimore, Obama met around a large table with Muslim university chaplains, community activists and public health figures to discuss religious tolerance and freedom. Among the participants was Ibtihaj Muhammad, a fencer who has qualified to represent the U.S. at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games. The White House said she’ll make history as the first United States Olympian to compete in a hijab.”

Perhaps Muslims are not so easily fooled by Obama’s pandering in a visit to one of their mosques that was more than seven years in coming.

According to Khaled A. Beydoun, an assistant professor of law at the Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, “The visit drew as much ire as it did praise from Muslim Americans.

“Why so long?” many reflected, particularly in light of Muslim Americans voting for Obamaat a whopping 85 percent margin during his second campaign. (Al Jazeera, Feb. 4, 2016)

“Obama’s commitment to counter-radicalisation policing, and aim of enlisting Muslim Americans as intermediaries and informants, particularly in the wake of the Paris and San Bernardino attacks, is the driving force behind his first visit to a US mosque.

“Already piloted in Boston, Los Angeles and Minneapolis, the Department of Homeland security is bent on launching hard counter-radicalisation programmes in additional cities. Particularly cities with large and concentrated Muslim American populations.

“This was foreshadowed by his presidential address in the immediate wake of the San Bernardino shootings, when he said: “And we are cooperating with… Muslim communities here at home - to counter the vicious ideology that ISIL promotes online.” He echoed this again in Baltimore: “It’s why we will continue to partner with Muslim American communities - not just to help you protect against extremist threats, but to expand healthcare and education and opportunity - because that’s the best way to build strong, resilient communities.”

According to Jerry McGlothlin, writing for Western Journalism, the Department of Justice ‘Strong Cities’ has already put the U.S. under Islamic Law.

“On September 30, 2015, at the UN, Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced a new worldwide law enforcement initiative, the Strong Cities Network, to be set up in certain American cities. What this actually is is the UN plan for global police, using the Department of Justice. It’s the overriding of American law by the Obama administration in conjunction with the UN, without Congressional input.

“What’s the initiative all about? Officially, it’s to prevent and combat “violent extremism in all of its forms” without linking it “with any particular religion, nationality or ethnic group.” The emphasis is on inclusiveness, collaboration, and non-discrimination. Although it doesn’t mention any specific religion, using the language of Obama-speak, its goal of “building social cohesion and resilience to violent extremism” actually means peacekeeping between Muslims and non-Muslims, “mostly by making sure that non-Muslims don’t complain too loudly about, much less work against, rapidly expanding Muslim populations and the Islamization of their communities,” according to Pamela Geller.

“This is a reasonable interpretation. Instead of “building social cohesion,” the flood of Islamic refugees and immigrants are destroying social unity in Western nations; yet they’re being welcomed by governments despite public outcry. And the FBI recently sent out a bulletin to law enforcement warning of attacks against Muslims by “militia extremists,” even though there’s no proof of any imminent attacks. In DHS reports, we’ve also seen the Obama administration target conservatives such as Christians, gun-owners and pro-lifers as dangerous.

“Who’s set to head this “worldwide initiative”? A Jordanian Muslim, Prince Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein, the UN’s new High Commissioner of Human Rights, of course. The UN is a sharia-compliant organization, and there’s been a great deal of movement toward silencing critics of Islam in nations around the world, fueling speculation that this will be used to enforce Islamic blasphemy laws. According to Foreign Policy, “in 2013, the ministers of justice of the League of Arab States approved an extremely wide-ranging draft blasphemy law that not only aims at criminalizing allegedly blasphemous utterances…but also envisaged extraterritorial jurisdiction, meaning that someone deemed to have blasphemed in the United States or Europe would be liable to prosecution in Arab League member states.”

“The SCN’s stated aim is to “connect cities and other local authorities on an international basis, to enhance local level approaches” by “facilitating information sharing” and creating “new and innovative local practices.” The practical effect is to strip authority from local law enforcement as it destroys American sovereignty. Initially, 23 cities will be involved. Constitutional lawyer John Whitehead states that this is an initial step toward a global police force, which is being imposed on us whether we want it or not.”

Meanwhile, the National Prayer Breakfast went down as usual, with lots of glad-handing and business card exchange, but with no reassurances that count from any Christian leader that Christ—and only Christ—is Who all Christians call upon in prayer.
